TALES OF INCREDIBLE CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL EXCHANGE IN INDONESIA FROM A FILIPINA LOUISIAN'S PERSPECTIVE

The Exchanging Universities
On this page, you will learn more about my sending university from the Philippines and the receiving university that welcomed me in Indonesia.
Home University:
Saint Louis University
Saint Louis University, abbreviated as SLU, was founded in 1911 by Rev Fr Séraphin Devesse, CICM, when he established a one-room elementary school in Baguio for ten local boys. From these humble origins, Saint Louis School began. In 1955, the graduate-level programs of Saint Louis College were granted recognition. Still, the real turning point came on 13 May 1963, when Saint Louis College was conferred University status by the Philippine Government.

SLU first joined the SEA Teacher project during it's 3rd batch of conception in 2017.

Receiving University:
Universitas Halu Oleo

In 1981, Universitas Halu Oleo achieved autonomy following the issuance of Presidential Decree Number 37 of 1981, dated August 14, 1981. It is located in Kendari City, Indonesia.
